Facade painting in Gothenburg

Facade painting that lasts – thanks to the right preparation

The facade is exposed to driving rain, sun, frost and algae growth year after year. Over time the paint breaks down, turns chalky and flakes – and then it lets moisture through, which damages the render, timber and structure. Repainting at the right time is one of the most cost-effective ways to protect the house and maintain its value.

The result is determined by the preparation. We wash, scrape and sand away loose paint, repair damage, prime and paint in several coats with products that suit your particular facade type. We help you with choosing colours – we bring samples and show you how the colour looks against your house and your plot.

You receive a written fixed price and the labour cost is normally eligible for the ROT deduction. A free colour consultation is always included.

Result from a real project

Facade painting

House with freshly painted facade

A light-coloured house whose facade had faded and lost its lustre. After painting, the building looks crisp and uniform, and the dark details of the columns and windows stand out clearly against the fresh base colour.

The work included

  • Washing and cleaning the facade
  • Scraping and filling where the paint had come off
  • Priming untreated surfaces
  • Painting in several coats

When is it time?

How to tell that the facade needs repainting

Don't wait until the paint has come off completely. Time to act when you see:

  • Flaking, blistering or chalking paint that rubs off when touched
  • Discolouration, algae or mould that returns after washing
  • A dull, faded surface where the paint has lost both its gloss and its protective function
  • Small cracks in the paint and joints where moisture can penetrate
  • The facade was last painted more than 8–10 years ago
  • You want to change the colour or update the look of the house

If there are cracks, moisture damage or rot that cannot be dealt with by painting, facade renovation may be needed first.
